DEAD MEAT

A debut record about becoming visible before turning 40

Dead Meat is the debut album from Brother Boost, released in photo-finish time the day before songwriter Peter Hatch’s 40th birthday.

The record began with a private deadline: stop keeping songs private and finally put them into the world.

Written and recorded in Berkeley, CA, Dead Meat turns that deadline into ten warm, funny, anxious indie folk songs about family, old love, panic, ambition, gratitude, and the strange little objects that carry whole chapters of a life.

Co-produced and mixed by Yuuki Matthews of The Shins and mastered by Christopher Colbert, the album features James McAlister, Eli West, Justin Keller, and Liz McFadden Hatch.
